The direct to DVD Donnie Darko is in the works.S. Darko comes to us directed by Chris Fisher (Nightstalker) and will release April 28th. Nathan Atkins has scripted the film that brings back Daveigh Chase as Donnie's little sis who ventures out with her best friend Corey for a road trip to LA that becomes hallucinatory and strange.

Man, the first film was so good an original. Let's hope the DVD sequel can hold a candle to it.
