The Green Hornet

Well, the road to a Green Hornet movie has been rocky at best. For those of you who this is the first time hearing of it, Seth Rogen will be taking on the role of the Green Hornet.

Originally Stephen Chow was going to direct and play Kato, however, he has pulled out of the directors seat, and it is unknown if he will still be Kato or not.

New word on the street is that Adam Sandler will have a cameo in the maybe on/maybe off film. The Los Angeles Times reports; "Two different people in the industry told me that Adam Sandler has a brief but key role in the movie as a certain surprise superhero...I heard which one, too, but I don't want to ruin it. Sandler and Rogen have another project together as well."

As to who Sandler will play, all I can find out that it's either the Lone Ranger, as that was Green Hornets father, though the age seems off, or Batman. In the old TV show, the Green Hornet had a crossover on the Batman show. I think either would be funny.

As to if this movie will even get made or not, Seth Rogen has weighed in on that; "Assuming we’re able to hire a new director in the upcoming weeks, which seems like a distinct possibility, it should still hit the release date.” So who knows. The film sounds wicked campy, but I've liked everything I've seen Rogen in thus far, so I'm hoping for the best.
